Analysis of the Impact of the Built-Up Land Index on the Increase in Land Surface Temperature Values Using Linear Regression.
- URL: Project Link
The study aimed to determine the correlation between urbanization, measured through the built-up land index, and changes in land surface temperature. Data collection involved acquiring remote sensing data and urban development records to quantify the built-up land index and measure land surface temperatures using Geographic Information System (GIS) tools. Statistical analysis, including correlation tests and linear regression, was performed to establish the relationship between these variables. The results highlighted the extent to which urbanization influences local climate conditions by affecting land surface temperatures. The findings are expected to provide insights for urban planners and policymakers, offering data-driven recommendations to mitigate the impact of rising temperatures due to increased built-up areas
